Subhash Dhunoohchand is a Franco-Indo-Mauritian artist, percussionist, and tabla player, recognized as a pioneer in blending traditional Indian music with electronic sounds. Born in Mauritius, he grew up in a rich musical environment and was introduced early to Hindi and Bhojpuri music by his father.
Since 1993, he has built an international career, particularly in Europe, through his flagship project Tablatronic, combining tabla, electronic music, jazz, and global influences. His performances offer an immersive experience driven by a universal message of peace, love, and non-violence.
Also a dedicated educator at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Réunion Island, he actively contributes to artistic creation and cultural exchange, notably through collaborations with contemporary dance.
