Gwendoline Absalon is a Réunionese singer, painter, and photographer, and a major figure on the island’s jazz scene. Winner of the Best Jazz Singer of Réunion award in 2013, she has been developing for over twenty years a distinctive artistic universe at the crossroads of jazz, blues, soul, and Creole roots, shaped by a deep inner quest.
On stage as well as internationally (Cape Verde, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Italy), she delivers an intense and immersive performance.
Released on May 8, 2025, her third self-produced album, Fanal Fénwar, marks an artistic and personal rebirth, celebrating light, transmission, and the destiny of women.
