Bastien Picot, singer-songwriter from Le Tampon (Reunion Island) shares his time between Paris and his home island. Ex-chorus-singer for Stevie Wonder, Charles Aznavour and Yael Naïm, he recently recorded as lead singer on a jazz album by Richard Bona, starring André Ceccarelli, Sylvain Luc and Hadrien Feraud. In Reunion, he works with some artists such as Lo Griyo, Maya Kamaty and even Les Bringelles with whom he took the art direction. His new solo project called Aurus is a mix of English and Creole, a cultural blend between traditional maloya instruments with a taste of tribal pop that could remind one of Bon Iver or Woodkid. His debut album Chimera is in the works and should be out sometime in 2020.
