Bongeziwe Mabandla is a multi-award-winning South African artist and one of the most compelling voices in contemporary African music. With four acclaimed albums — Umlilo, Mangaliso, iimini and amaXesha — he has earned multiple honours, including three South African Music Awards. His fourth album, amaXesha, was named Global Album of the Month by The Guardian, while his 2023 COLORS session introduced his deeply emotive sound to a global audience. Known for his intimate, soul-stirring live performances, Mabandla has toured internationally and performed at major festivals worldwide.
