In 2006, Aboubacar « Anana » Harouna arrived in Brussels and started a new band, Kel Assouf, mixing traditional Tuareg sounds with stoner rock. Their spontaneous first two albums earned them praise from the critics but their new project Black Tenere takes their music to another level.  Anana’s guitar has a certain harmony with Sofyann Ben Youssef’s keyboard while rhythm is covered by the brilliant drum play of Olivier Penu. Their songs lyrics tackle geopolitical crisis, the sacking of ressources organized by multinational companies and many more serious topics. All this with a desert rock power that will make even the most timid souls want to jump around !
